When you're playing as Leon and arrived at the church, you can shoot the bell and it will ring. After that, you'll hear a cry of a ganados and eventually 3 ganados will come from the entry point of the church area. If you're up for some extra money, ammo (if you're lucky enough to get it from one of 'em), and dare to kill some ganados for that (in chance that you may just get yourself in trouble for your greed), then that's the way of it. I shot it for at least more than 5 times and successfully gain 9000 pesetas and some handgun ammunition.

P.S. : I did this after I've finished both main storyline and Ada's storyline (Separate ways), which made me able to use Special suit 2 and Chicago Typewriter. If it's not working for you, maybe you'll have to follow my step first.
