Question for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

After Hermione retrieves the glacious spellbook and the red lava water stuff is there, how do I get onto the ledge?

I've tried and tried to get it to stop moving so I can get to it but it just moves upward and then Hermione can't get on to it.

How does that work?

Take aim at the lava and make a path by freezing the lava and crossing don't forget to equip by going to select and ,well, you'll figure it out.I'm at the same place so don't think you were the only one who got stuck there.Hope it helps!

Use the Glacious Spell and make a path to the little platform that's straight across from where you start and go over there and Hermionie will climb it.

I have your answer. I also hade a little trouble getting up onto the ledge, but I finally did it. Here is what you have to do:
-Freeze a path to the ledge.
-Stop when you get to the ledge.
-Push forward again and voila! you have it.
