Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock Cheats and Tips

These extra characters are got by beating them in a Guitar Battle during Career mode and then purchasing them at the shop.
Unlock Slash:
Beat his boss Battle and then buy him at the Shop for $10,000.
Unlock Tony Morello:
Beat his Boss Battle and then buy him at the Shop for $10,000.
Unlock Lou:
Beat his Boss battle and then buy him at the Shop for $15,000.

To enter the notes go to 'Options' and select 'Cheat' and enter the code to unlock the effect you want. You have to strum as you press the buttons in the code and if two buttons are indicated they must be pressed together as you strum as they represent one cord. ALL the codes except 'Unlock ALL Songs' can be disabled directly from the 'Cheat' menu by pressing the green button.

R = Red, B = Blue, G = Green, Y = Yellow, O = Orange

Unlock Performance Mode:

At this present moment of time there have been no cheat codes released for Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. What we do know about the PS2 version of the game is that there are over 70 tracks with half of them being the original masters. New features have been introduced like the new multi-player 'Battle' mode and there is unlockable content like authentic Rock venues. You can also buy deluxe wireless peripherals like guitar controllers for the game.

1. If your like me and want to unlock all the people,the fast way to get money is 2 player.You don't need 2 guitars you can use the controller.
The buttons are:
Green:L2
Red:L1
Yellow:R1
Blue:R2
It kinda is better if you have members in your family that can play Guitar Hero.
Me,My Dad,and my Brother can play but they play on easy and I'm on medium!

1. Go to "Training" at the main menu.
2. Go to 'Practice". Go through the whole list, no points right?
3. Go back one and then click on "Tutorials".
4. Click on the last choice or the "ADVANCED" skill training.
5. Right when the screen comes up after loading, press "pause" IMMEDIATELY!
6. Exit and go back to "Practice".
7. All of the songs should have 5-stars and 1,000,000 points.*

*NOTE: This is only a glitch, it will not effect the total points on a career or quickplay. It is just for fun, so don't expect anything to help you out, it is just an illusion, or practically one.

I'm playing slash and trying get by him. I'm in the house of blues and can't beat him? He is always putting the Death Drain on me and I lose. I kick his butt all the way til that point but I can't win. How do I get by slash?

If you want easy money you have to be good at easy career. I did it I'm at the 4th place with $7985 already. You have to now the songs from the 1st note to the last on. Good Luck!!!!!!

And strum the wammy bar.

When scrolling down the list of songs on easy...there is a picture of the very good tasting gum "Five Gum".It is pretty funny.

If you have more than 2 Guitar Hero games saved on an 8mb memory card, your data is very likely to corrupt. Mine has done it twice, so be careful. This has happened to 3 of my friends too.

Hey I found a way cool glitch that doesnt help you..well it might.. Right get into a guitar battle with lou..preferably expert..right make yourself fail by strummin the strum bar until you fail...now go to practice mode and guitar battle..do what the old man says until you get to the part where you unleash your attack..when it says lesson complete wait until the next fret board comes up and quit...go back to the battle..now you should be playing an expert battle when lou is on easy..the dirty cheater!!! >:(

When you get up to meduim and when you do all the songs for ir go stright to expert. But if you keep failing just keep trying on expert.

When you see a bright topped note you can hammer-on/pull-off. It's really helpful on battle v.s. Luu

If you go onto the "European Invasion" pick a song ( Paranoid ,Anarchy In The UK,Kool Thing,My Name Is Jonas or Even Flow) then if you look carfully in the backround there wll be a red Welsh dragon in the middle,a Scottish knight on the left and an English knight on the right.

First buy Slash then go onto Career and go onto HARD and scroll all the way down to where Welcome To The Jungle is there should be half a Guns N Roses logo.

There is a special guitar that you can only obtain by doing this...it is extremely hard for some people.You have to get a five star review on every song and you will unlock the "Bat Guitar".It looks really cool and it is one-thousand dollars but it is very well worth it.

I don't remember in wich song, but in hard level wen you are playing someone of the public will stand up an he will jump.

Hi everybody! If your having problems playing this song on expert, well heres a way to play it. If you put a rubber band around the green button in the intro(make sure you pause the game) you do not have to play the green notes, the game will do it for you. Make sure you take your finger off the notes(for instance orange) in between every note, or the game won't play it and you will fail!!! Try it out and see how well it works!!! Go on! Try it out right now!

This will show you how to deafet any guatiar battles (Tom Morollo,Slash,or Lou)
The easiest way to deafet any one is to save up your powers-up what I think to do is to get The Whammy and double notes then just use them back to back and the will defet them

The easiest way is to deafet any boss (Tom Morollo, Slash, and Lou) is to svae you power-up the best one is The Whammy and double notes if you get those two at the same time use them back to back when they are playing back-to-back notes and it will be the easiest way to deafet them
To protct yourself from they attacking you is...
If he attacks you with The Whammy (note they computer always uses the attacks when they get them) you keep an eye out on the computer and when you see that he is going to get Whammy you just start Whamming
If he attacks you with lefty flp just look at a mirror to the screen and it's just normal

Hey I found something wierd about gh3...the guitars never have amps plugged in...and you never see a jack lead... I was on 'lay down' by priestless..with judie nails at lous inferno on medium (finishing the songs I didnt do off) at 1 point you get a close up view of the guitar...i used and sg standard..and there is no lead..weird huh??

Instead of pressing the select button on the playstaion 2 controler,you can press the right button on the D-pad.It works for star power and battle for 1 & 2player on any mode.

Hey if you go on through the fire and the flames on expert just hit the green notes.... It will play the full intro...if you hit the other notes you may hear some sound but not much!! :D

If you have a working computer and any guitar hero controller or band band guitar controller and you want to get better this is what you do. You go to www.youtube.com then type in the name of a song then click on a video that looks like guitar hero then when the video starts get out your guitar and wait for the notes on the computer come up then when the notes on the computer do show up press the correct frets down on the guitar and strum. (The key is to get the same notes on the guitar that are on the computer). Even though you wont get to see the percentage of notes you hit it's still making you better. (If you have no clue what I was talking about then oh well find someone who does know what I'm talking about).

Many people have trouble with learning this song, and I can hardly blame them. But there's a way.
I would hope you're familiar with "practice" mode? Select TTFAF, Expert diffieculty, select the "intro" only if you're just starting, then you'll be asked for a speed preference.
Select "SLOWEST" and play. The song will begin with a red note then continue with hammer ons throughout the entire beginning.
As soon as you strum the red note, put your pointer finger on the green button and hold it there. Every green note in the intro is a hammer on, and as long as you hold that button and don't miss notes, over half of the intro is set up to play itself.
Back to the beginning: you've just strummed the red button. Your pointer finger is on the green butt..
