My name is Brandon and here to help you out with some stuff on Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock. I'd like to thank those who read this Walkthrough. So enjoy! ------------------------------------ II - STRUMMING FAST ------------------------------------ When you have to strum fast you will see a group of notes coming to you that is in the same column and they are all closed in. This is when you strum fast. ------------------------------------ III - HAMMER ONS/TAPPING ------------------------------------ This is when you see a group of different notes laid out on the track. They will come at you from all columns that are available. This is when you tap/do hammer ons. ------------------------------------ IV - HITTING TRIPLE NOTES ------------------------------------ This is when you see 3 columns with notes, at the same time, come to you. You must hold 3 fret buttons and strum to do this. Most triple notes are long, and some are not. That is hitting triple notes. ------------------------------------ V - 16 QUAD NOTES! ------------------------------------ This is found on the bonus song, "Go That Far by The Bret Micheals Band". Here are the steps: Step 1: Go to the "Go That Far" song. It must be on training. Step 2: Press "Rythym". Step 3: Choose the Bridge 2 Solo section. After these 3 steps, you will be in the board room, and right off the bat, 3 RB notes and 8 GY notes will come to you. You will wait for about 2 1/2 seconds, then...QUAD NOTES!!! ------------------------------------ VI - VERSION HISTORY ------------------------------------ 04/14 - Just finished the song list today. Sorry! ------------------------------------ VIII - THE WALKTHROUGH ------------------------------------ This FAQ tells you about a certain part of the song. !!NOTE!!All the songs are on expert. ------------------------------- ENJOY! ------------------------------- 1 - B A C K Y A R D B A S H ------------------------------- SLOW RIDE - FOGHAT Outro On Bass-This is a little hard. What you need to do this first strum fast holding down the orange button, than tap the remaining notes. Keep practicing until you get it right. TALK DIRTY TO ME - POISON Outro On Guitar-Almost like Slow Ride. Just remember to tap the 6 groups then strum the long notes and the triple note at the end. If you need to, practice. HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT - PAT BENATAR Solo A On Guitar- Pretty hard. When you start the solo, remember to tap, tap, tap, then strum the long notes and once again tap then strum fast. Practice if you need to. STORY OF MY LIFE - SOCIAL DISTORTION Just remember to tap, and strum fast. Practice while you have the chance. ENCORE: ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE - KISS Ace This Solo, Freely On Guitar-Remember in the beggining strum the long notes and then tap then strum the long notes again then tap once more and fially strum the long notes. Some of you might need practice on this song. ---------------------------------------------- 2 - M I T C H ' S M O O S E L O U N G E ---------------------------------------------- MISSISSIPPI QUEEN - MOUNTAIN Just remember to tap, and strum fast. Practice if you need to on any part you want of this song. SCHOOL'S OUT - ALICE COOPER Intro On Guitar-When you first enter the song, strum then when you get to the byrg part, tap. Keep reapeting this until you get this thing off your chest. SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE - CREAM Outro On Guitar-Kay, all you have to do is hold down the red and blue keys...wait it is the red and blue keys, right? Anyways, just hold down whatever notes they are until he end and remember to strum at perfect times. Practice if you need to. BARRACUDA - HEART Intro On Guitar-Hold down the green key and follow the beat: G-GGG-GGG-GGG-GGG-GGG until you hit the long notes. You might need some practice. GUITAR BATTLE VS. TOM MORELLO Okay, here is what I do. First get 3 powerups. And when he starts his death drain, where he hits the green notes really fast and presses the other notes, let him have it. Use all 3 powerups at that moment. ENCORE: BULLS ON PARADE - RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Solo On Guitar-This is when you get the scratchy part. It's pretty easy. Just strum the notes and try not to miss the late notes. I don't think you need practice but if you really suck at this game, practice PLEASE!!!!! --------------------------- 3 - V I D E O S H O O T --------------------------- WHEN WE WERE YOUNG - THE KILLERS Waiting Part On Bass-You know the part where you have to wait if your on Guitar? Come on, work with me here.Its in the beggining. Anyways if you CAN remember, just strum to the beat as you work your way up, then back to were you started. Keep repeating that until its over. MISS MURDER - AFI Just remember to tap, and strum fast when it looks like you need to. Like said before, PRACTICE!! THE SEEKER - THE WHO Intro On Guitar-Follow the beat that goes like this(I used 8 for exampling): 88888-88-88-8-8 and then hit the following long notes. LAY DOWN - PRIESTESS Bum-Ba Bum-Ba Bum Part On Guitar-Just follow the Ba Bum beat and watch out for unexcpected notes. ENCORE: PAINT IT BLACK - THE ROLLING STONES Intro On Guitar-Do the first group of notes then tap and then hit the long note. Then...a G-GYB pattern. ------------------------------------ 4 - T H E R O Y A L O D E O N ------------------------------------ PARANOID - BLACK SABBATH Main Riffs On Guitar-First start in the middle then down then strum the long notes. Continue this pattern until the end of the song which is after the solo. ANARCHY IN THE U.K. - THE SEX PISTOLS Continue to follow the pattern as it goes like this(like before, I used 8 for exampling): 888888-8-8-88-88-88 and keep doing this. KOOL THING - SONIC YOUTH Follow the pattern and then hit the long note. MY NAME IS JONAS - WEEZER Just remember to tap and strum fast when it looks like you need to. Like said before, PRACTICE!!! ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE - SCORPIONS Main Riffs On Guitar-Follow the pattern as you do this pattern: Bottom, Top, Bottom, Middle, Middle-Bottom, Bottom, Top, Bottom, Middle. Repeat this pattern. SAME OLD SONG AND DANCE - AEROSMITH Just take my advice and tap, strum fast and hit the long notes at perfect timings. As I said before, if you really suck at this game, PRACTICE!!! LA GRANGE - ZZ TOP Main Riffs On Guitar-Follow the pattern and soon you will get used to it. GUITAR BATTLE VS. SLASH Okay, here is where it starts to get a little harder. Remember, try to get the 3 powerups(Amp Overload, Whammy and Double Notes). And When he starts to hit all those notes, let him have it! ENCORE: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE - GUNS N' ROSES Intro On Guitar-Hit the orange notes, then tap, and hit the long notes, and strum again. -------------------------------------- 6 - D E S E R T R O C K T O U R -------------------------------------- BLACK MAGIC WOMAN - SANTANA Outro On Guitar- Follow the beat and then hit the last 3 triple notes. CLIFFS OF DOVER - ERIC JOHNSON TAP AT CERTAIN TIMES!!!!! THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST - IRON MAIDEN Intro On Guitar-Follow the pattern and then you'll get out out of it. ONE - METALLICA Darkness Riffs-Follown the pattern until you get he hang of it. It's pretty hard. Strum fast, then hit the triple note. Repaet this pattern until the end of the song. GUITAR BATTLE VS. LOU This is the hardest guitar battle out of all of them. Like before, grab the 3 powerups, then let him have at it and finish him off! He's in the introduction. Remember when that guy defeats all the people on that big mountain and then when he reaches the top, he has to face that god-looking guy? Well, that's the guy that's unlockable. ------------------------- 2/2: THE DEVIL'S MONSTER ------------------------- To unlock this person, you must defeat Lou on all diffuculties(it dosen't have to be in order). ------------------------- EXPLAINING THE CHARACTER ------------------------- This character is in the background of the stage area, "Lou's Inferno". It's the guy that keeps smashing the ground with a hammer.
