At the 'Main' menu when you select 'Career' mode enter the following code repeatedly until a confirmation message appears on screen telling you that Hyperspeed has been activated.

How to beat every song:

First go to practice mode then choose your best song, put it on expert, choose your best section, then play it, then at the end, while it's still rolling, unplug the guitar 1, then, hit resume. Do it ten times, then it rolls forever. Then hit exit, then choose any song on career expert then you''l play the song you chosen on practice except you will only play the part you chose! It will say you've beaten it and if you hit all the notes you'll have golden 3 stars. Here is how to turn it off:

To get the grim ripper to play guitars other than the sythe in career mode, first pick any character apart from grim. Then choose what guitar you want him to have (gibson sg flame finnish looks cool with him!) and then change character to grim. It should say at the top:

Gibson sg flame finish (or whichever guitar you chose)

Then play a live show... And the grim ripper will be playing your guitar of choice! To change it back to the scyth, just go to change guitars. This can also be done the other way round: Pick the grim ripper as your chracter, then change him to another. You can then get a normal player to play grims guitar! (he wont be pleased)

Go to the main menu and press the following buttons

(only works if you press it really fast and you can't save it after you enter 1 cheat)

If you want to listen to your favourite guitar hero tunes but are too lazy to pick up the guitar and play, this is what you do:

Go to 'training' on the main menu then go to practice. Pick the song you like, then choose a part (ie lead or bass, if you choose bass I think the volume of the bass is increased) and difficulty (it doesn't matter for this) then highlight 'Full song' and wait for a couple of seconds (some of the longer songs take a moment to load) then you'll get to hear the whole song all the way through without having to play! Awesome dude!

I'm not exactly sure how to do, but whatever. Me and my cousin were playing meduim carrer and on a song there was 3 notes close together. I strumed on 2 of them but the 3rd I didn't strum I just hit the fret.

1. RELAX - Don't press the fret buttons down too hard. This will improve your speed when switching buttons.

2. Use Hammer Ons and Pull offs - (Hint: They made Guitar hero 2 so that you can pull off without having your finger on lets say Red then green, you can just do red alone then green alone, It will still pull off.)

3. Improve your single strum to a very fast rate ( single strums keep a better beat)

4. If your on a really long row of repeated fast notes and you keep missing them, slow down, usually your going too fast if you do a double strum.

5. If your stuck on a song, then play the songs that you played before and 5 star them. This will improve your chances at beating that song.

In career mode, if you make the grim reaper your character, switch to izzy and it should say your using the scythe.

Take advantage of the new practice mode in Guitar Hero 2. It was not in the previous Guitar Hero. It well really help you get those tough songs, you will be able to slow the songs down.

If you are cheap (like me), then instead of going out and buying a special controller for the game, you can just use the standard playstation controller, just use L2 for green, L1 for red, R1 for yellow, R2 for blue, and X for orange

Hamer-ons-when 2 notes are close together you (say green then yellow) hold green, strum and then press yellow

Pull-offs-the same thing in reverse

If you have a brother or sister have them do the wammy bar it's way easier trust me.

If you can beet about five songs on hard you can probobly beet one song on expert or more.

At the shop you can buy new and cooler outfits for your charactors. I bought Axel a new outfit and it rocked. TO use a out fit go to charactor page and choose the person you bougt for and equip it.

1. Hitting the strum bar too much will cost you more of your rock meter then missing notes.

2. Even though hyper speed looks harder, for some songs it makes it easier, this is becuase the notes are spread apart

Play each song on medium on hyperspeed. Enter this for Hyperspeed, Orange, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Orange, Yellow.

Then reset your console and play on hard and it will seem to go super slow!!

When you do an encore your drummer explodes and you get a new one you go through

About 5 drummers

If you're used to playing on medium difficulty and would like to play on hard, go to quickplay and practice on Strutter. It has little use of the orange key.

Press the key and strum for triple notes and higher. So you don't have to press the note and strum just hold and strum. IT is easyer that way. Now try beating who was in my room last night

For this, when you see a note with a blurry top, you don't have to strum, just hit the color on your guitar. Then you can become better

This is more of a reccomendation. Instead of cheating just do career mode and make a lot of money. That way you will gat all songs by buying them and get farther in the game at the same time.
