Getaways and how to do them.

Since some missions involve escapes from the cops, I decided to put together a miniature walkthrough on getaways. The ratings help you decide what you want. The fun rating describes how much fun it is, the usefulness rating is how useful it is, the time-wise rating describes how much time can and should be spent on it and whether or not that is well-spent, and overall, well, describes it overall.

On foot:

When surrounded by cops, use either a shotgun or a machine gun to get you out of a tricky situation. Hijack the closest car and get away. If cops are chasing after you, run to the nearest car and get in. If there's a good place to run or a shortcut (e.g. through the grassy area outside the mall) go through there. Preferably go behind walls.

In a car:

Drive away from cops. If you're looking for a car, don't get in one if there's a cop next to the car, unless it's a quick accelerating car, e.g. a Comet. Then reverse and swing around sidewards so the bonnet hits the cop. If you are on a chase, simply evade cars. Travelling the right way on the road also helps, because some cop cars up ahead go slow and you can pass them easily. If helicopters are after you, don't worry about it. Pay N Spray's are useful, but you can't go in there with a police vehicle (Rhino, Enforcer, Police, etc.). Also, jumps can provide good cover from the cops, but if your car tips, hop out and run like hell.

On a bike:

Try and evade police cars really early; if you get rammed, you'll have to run like hell. Never get on a bike if there's a cop next to the bike, or you'll get busted. Jumps are a great way to temporarily evade the police. Also, try not to turn sharply, you may fall off.

In a boat:

The police come after you and thier boats have guns, so your best bet is to have a fast boat to get away from them. Driveby's to kill the cops in their boats are useful.

In aircraft:

Basic really. Stay away from the police so they can't shoot you down, and don't blow up the helicopter.

In building:

Kill everyone you encounter. Make your way slowly out of the building, and get ready to kill some cops nearby once the screen loads.

In corner:

Have a fast firing gun, because cars will be swarming around in front of you. If you're in a place near the road, cars may circle around in front of the place. Also, obstacles can help you in making the police tip thier cars. And if a car comes in, don't worry, they'll stop a bit in front of you, just kill them.

When sniping:

Make sure your rifle has lots of ammunition. You'll need to blow up everything that shoots at you. If helicopters come, they'll fly straight over you, then come back. Try and get them with a rocket launcher in that moment.

Other hints:

The trick is to go fluidly from all these modes. E.g. you might snipe, then run out of ammo. Make your way down the building, run to the nearest car, kill all the police around you, hijack the car, drive around for a long time, car blows up, get a helicopter, etc.
