Sprint
On PC you auto sprint by pressing the 'equals' key. If put your weapon away and press the X key on your PC keyboard you will be able to sprint 6% faster.
Quiet Footsteps
If you hold Ctrl on your PC keyboard while walking you will be able to move much more quietly, albeit slightly slower. This is particularly useful for seaking around.
Full Health
There is only two ways you can replenish your health back to 100%. They are the rare to find medkit which will instantly heal you to 100% after 10 seconds and 'boost' items such as painkillers and energy drinks which will heal you over a much longer period of time.
First Aid Kits and Bandages
Both these items will replenish your health to 75%. First aid kits work instantly after the seven seconds of application while bandages require multiple applications and will heal you over time, usually about a minute.
Using Vehicles
Although vehicles such as buggies, trucks, and motocycles offer you transport to traverse long distances they also make a lot of noise and give away your position away. They can also run out of gas, explode if shot at too much, or flip over and kill you.
Refueling Vehicles
Vehicles must be stationary before you can refuel them. They can be refuelled from within the vehicle by right-clicking the gas cannister in your inventory.
Parking Vehicles
Vehicles will roll down hills and explode it they hit anything at speed so to prevent them rolling away on sloped terrain park them sideways. Freshly parked cars' brakelights will still be on so if you see a car with lights on, the enemy is probably still nearby.
Looting Buildings
Before you start to loot a building make sure you have checked for players lingering about as it is very easy to bait people by leaving loot on the ground and then shoot them in the back. Pay attention to doors, the game starts with all the doors closed so if a door is open you know somebody has been there.
Bridges
Avoid bridges as they are death traps which will have almost always have players hanging around them waiting to ambush you, it is safer to swim or find a boat. If you are going to swim you can dive underwater by holding C key on your PC keyboard and rise to the surface by holding Space.
Multiple Enemies
When faced with mulitple enemies don't worry about those you down as they will not be able to get up. Just prioritise those who can still attack you.
Pistols
Pistols are just a waste of inventory space unless you have the P18C which has full auto mode like an SMG.
Frag Grenade Pin
Contrary to popular belief it is possible to put a pin back in a Frag grenade after it has been pulled out. Just go to your inventory and drag the grenade from the grenade slot in the bottom right, to your storage column on the left.
Engaging the Enemy
It is best to avoid dangerous situations unless you are confident in your ability to eliminate the opposing player in your way or you have no choice but to confront them. Remember the objective of the game is to survive, not try to get an impressive kill count.
Long Grass
Don't rely on long grass as cover as a sniper will be able to spot you easily from long range. This is because long grass only renders at less than 150 meters away but players render from a much greater distance.
Increase Inventory Capacity
It is important that you grab backpacks and armour vests whenever they become available as each of them will increase your inventory capacity by various amounts, which is crucial for stockpiling ammuntion, medkits, and gun attachments.
Frying Pan
If you find a frying pan, pick it up. The frying pan can be used as a melee weapon and as a shield for your character as it is able to deflect any bullet in the game.
