Paper Mario, the first in the series of these 2D Mario games.
It introduced many new characters, some being friendly versions of enemies in previous Mario games.
A RPG with humor for all ages and not to mention, fun to play as well.
It truly did redefine the Mario games entirely.
Well, it's hard to really say anything about them, because the style of the game was to make it like paper, more like 2D. All of the games in this series are fairly similar graphic wise, but considering this was for the Nintendo 64, I'm going to have to say they were pretty good. Sure, they weren't 3D like most games for the system were, but that's what made it more enjoyable.
The music here wasn't at all like the music in other Mario games. It didn't get stuck in your head, and odds are, you wouldn't forever remember it. For battles, it just went with the enemie at that time, but it was something you cxould get into. Thye sound effects were decent, but nothing too big there.
The gameplay was fun. The controls aren't difficult, but pretty simple really. The story line was humorous, and pretty good. Sure, there were some pretty tough bosses, but nothing you couldn't get through without a wee bit of effort. So the gameplay was fairly good.
Hm, what to say about the lastability? Well, this is a game you'll beat, and perhaps right agter beating it, you'll play it again, or a few years later anyway. So I don't recommend selling it, but rather keep it. The only issue I see would be the fact if you were stuck on a boss, you could become frustrated and just not play it for a while. But it does have a fairly decent lastability.
So really, overall, Paper Mario was a very enjoyable game to people of all ages. The music was decent as well as the lastability. The gameplay was pretty good and the 2D graphics were fun as well. Basically, I'm sure anyone who gave this game a try would find some enjoyment with it's goofy story line and humor. So yes, I do recommend you play this game.
