Choosing your Character
Make sure you invest resources into the characters that best suit your playstyle. The four types of characters available are speed, power, technique, and sky. Speed characters get faster and use less stamina, power characters have their damage increased, sky characters can stay in the air for the duration of their burst, and technique characters have their effects increased. Logia characters are also able to change their physical forms.
Combine your Attacks
Each of the playable characters in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 can have four skills equiped at any one time. These include normal attacks, power-ups and Musou attacks. Once you fill their meters up, all of which fill simultaneously at a fairly rapid rate you’ll be able to use one or another near-constantly to combine their attacks.
Use your Skills to Transform
Use your characters skills to transform whenever possible. Unlike in previous games in the series, in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 the transformations your chosen character can perform make use of their four skills. This means their typical transformation, known as bursts is determined by the character type (speed, power, technique, or sky). When you use your characters skills to transform your character’s appearance will change along with their moveset which will be like getting a completely new character.
Don't Waste Stamina
Make sure you manage your stamina wisely because it takes time to recharge and not having any during a battle will leave you defenceless as you will not be able to dodge or string together combos.
Some of the characters in One Piece: Pirate Warriors are unlocked naturally simply by progressing through the game. Others may require a specific task to be completed before they can be unlocked.
