One of the most important moves you need to master in OlliOlli World is the manual. The reason why it is essential that you know learn how to manual is because it allows you to score a massive amount of points by combining cool tricks together. This How to Manual guide will tell you everything you need to know about this move.

Although OlliOlli World lets you manual throughout all of its levels it will not teach you the move until later on in the game. This means if you know how to perform the move beforehand you will be able to implement manuals into your bag of tricks as soon as the game begins. If you want to start performing manuals straight out of the gate and not wait for the manual tutorial to appear deep in the game you need to do the following to pull one off. All you need to do is press A on the Xbox controller, X on the PlayStation controller, or B on Switch and tilt the left stick to the right or left. The direction your character faces will determine if it is a normal manual or nose manual. Tilting behind you will let you do a normal manual while tilting to your front does a nose manual.

Knowing how to perform this move before the game teaches you it will enable you to chain together very high scores early in the early game that the Local Heroes will not be able to get close to. Keep in mind that if you manual more than three times in a row without either stopping or grinding you will lose control and crash. The way to know how many consecutive manuals you have performed is by the red exclamation mark that pops above your head. As soon as it appears you need to immediately end the combo or find a rail as soon as possible.
