You can choose to get through a level on one life, or try getting a few of the challenges before aiming for the high score. It's entirely up to you what you decide to do.

Don't go for High Scores

Don't go for high scores when you begin OlliOlli World, you will be able to get these in the first few worlds pretty easily anyway. It is far more beneficial to remain in these worlds until you learn some of the key skills you need to get the best scores before moving on. The best time to go for high scores is at the end of the game when you have been taught all the fundamentals which will make getting points a lot easier.

Learn How to Manual to get Best Scores

In order to get the best scores it is essential that you know How to Manual, this is the ability to chain tricks together to earn massive combos. You will learn how to manual in OlliOlli World late in the game and once you know how to, you will be able to turn any dead air into an opportunity to perform a manual and earn points. You will be able to do three manuals in a row before ending the combo altogether.

Use the Power Push to Save Time

In OlliOllie World the default to push your board in order to gain speed is to press the A or X button continuously on your controller. A few worlds into the game you will be taught how to do the 'Power Push' which is performed by holding down the same button and then releasing for one push that is the equivalent of three normal pushes using the default way. Take advantage of the Power Push to save time.

Half-Pipes Adjust Speed Automatically

Keep in mind that whenever you approach a half-pipe in OlliOlli World you no longer need to worry about your speed as it will automatically speed you up to make the jump. This basically means that you can forget about power pushing or your timing when approaching a half-pipe and instead focus on performing tricks when you go through it.

Perform Advanced Tricks to Score Big

If you want to score big in OlliOlli World you need to move on from the basic tricks as soon as possible and start mastering the advanced tricks, which will require additional flicks on your controller to perform.
