Forms can be upgraded from Rank E all the way to Rank S and by doing so you will not only upgrade their stats and gain access to more challenges but also more passive or active abilities. This How to Upgrade Forms guide will tell you everything you need to know about the procedure in Nobody Saves the World.
Whenever you complete a Quest you will earn a star and also upgrade your Form, which then goes toward unlocking other Forms on the upgrade tree. If you look at the upgrade tree, you will notice letter grades (E-A, and S) listed on the paths between Forms. This indicates you need to achieve that grade with a Form to unlock the next one on the chain. If a Form has multiple paths with letter grades leading to it, you will need to reach that grade with multiple Forms.
As you progress in Nobody Saves the World you should be swapping between the Forms you have unlocked and experimenting in order to try and earn as much XP as possible. Once a Form reaches Rank B you are one quest away from getting it to Rank A which is important because it means you will be able to unlock Rogue and Monk which are two of the game's best classes and are needed to gain access to the Necromancer and Robot.
More Form quests will become unlocked once you have completed three main dungeons, these are the Grand Castle, the Witch Queen Catacombs, and the Ancient Robot. The only way you will be able to complete these dungeons is to make sure you complete any demi-dungeons you come across. Once you complete all three of these main dungeons you have obtained three Gem Shards which will enable you to visit Octavia's Lab and progress the story.
The only way you can access the upper portion of the map and gain access to the last dungeons in Nobody Saves the World is by visiting Octavia's Lab. There Octavia will give you a special wizard's hat and you will be able to enter those remaining dungeons and upgrade your Forms from Rank B to S by completing the various quests.
