My Pokemon wont attack. I went to attack and chose a move but it just went to the move sumary. What do I do to attack

If you click on a Attack while in battle, your Pokemon should do that Attack. If it continues to just show the Pokemon's Move Summary, something may be wrong with your game.
If you trying to use moves outside of battle, you can only uses HMs (and a few TMs) outside of battle. If you click on something outside of battle (little tree, boulder, waterfall, etc.), a Pokemon will perform an HM Move (if they know that specific HM Move). Some HMs require a certain number of Gym Badges before they can be used outside of battle.

If it went to the summary you could be holding down l or r. Thats how you normally get to the summary. If you arn't there must be something wrong with your game.
