There is no city (in any Pokemon game to my knowledge) called "Sol City." I don't even have a guess at what you mean.

Idk from the Rival,he said you needed to go to route 71 than go up but idk if it does help I'm searching the answer anyways ._.

Go back 2 route 71 there is a cop standing next 2 the tree, stand below the tree and press "A" you will fight it and once you win you can continue!

There is a policeman who is standinng infront of a tree,first find him and talk wid him,he will tell you something about tree then go in front of tree and press select then the tree is nt a tree it us a Pokemon fight him and the path to sol city will be open...thnx
