Question for Pokemon Soul Silver

I play on r4 but file started again but I'm supose to collect the togepi egg now but the professor I'm suposse to go to is not there help what should I do?

What is "r4?" It sounds like somewhere along the lines you are doing something the game doesn't like. Either hacking or using an emulation. Stop doing that and it should be fine.
