When I'm trying to go on wi-fi my ds doesnt pick up a signal. How do I fix it so it does pick up a signal?

You need to make sure there is a Wifi Access point, or you have a cable to hook up the DS to a Router. You should visit Nintendo's website for help, it could help you troubleshoot the problem better than this one.
