Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

I want to get feathers but when I talk to Pelly, the option to donate does not appear,is my game glitched without me knowing it?Or am I not talking to the right person?!Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you're talking to her at the window on the left.

The same thing happened to me and I could not donate any money untill I had payed off my house loan and make sure your at the window where you can change the town tune
