How I catch a fish? Fish come over but can't seem to get hold of them

All you have to do is throw your line in when you see a shawdow coming in the water (the best thing is to throw it in the direction the fish is swimming) then when the fish starts swimming towards your bobber just wait until your bobber goes down and you hear a splash, then simply keep pressing the A button until you catch it. But be quick when pulling the bobber if you take too long the fish will disapear

Wait for the fish to pull the bobber all the way under and then press A quickly.

Just throw the bobber towards the fat end of a fish's shadow and wait until it goes underwater and hold A.
