Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

The other day I was fishing and caught a blue marlin and I looked at it in the fish thing and it said I can only catch it in august so is it a glitch or someething cause my game is the real life time

It should say that that is when your are MOST LIKELY to catch it. You can catch all the fish at any time, it's just super hard to find them. Oh and every Animal Crossing: Wild World game is in real time unless you change the in-game clock or your Nintendo DS clock.
