I just need to know what are pitful seeds and what do you do with them. I have 3 now. I tried planting them but that doesn't do anything.

I've got the same prob but I think they're just these seed that just...well don't do anything. If you want to get rid of them but them in the recycling or give them to Tom Nook.

You get other animals to step on them, and they fall in! Hope I helped. ^_^

They essential do nothing but create a pitfall trap when planted. The best thing to do is just fall into it and it will be gone when you get out. Better than letting them pile up in your inventory.
