Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

In this game online, can you only play with people you have the friend codes for? None of my friends have this game. Does that mean no one will ever come to my town and I can't leave mine?

That is correct unless you get Wi-Fi and somehow get other people's codes. Also, you could also do DS to DS without a friend code (within 30 feet) but considering that none of your friends have it, you can't do that.
