That happened to me and my brother once, we believe it's a sun tan, we had been playing animal crossing non stop for hours, and the season was summer and we noticed we started getting gradually darker and darker. I didn't mind it, but the tanned skin clashed with my brothers blond hair. There are two options to get rid of the tan, either change your time to winter or go to someone elses town who's season is different to yours.You should then change back to your original colour.Basically you change colour because of the season your in, just like in real life.
