Im dog-gon confussed

That's a good question! I got the golden shovel and I never found a dog under my bed. I never even heard of that, but that doesn't mean it's not true. I too, would like too know if that was supposed to happen!

I have had the game for a year got the golden shovel 4 times and have never found a dog under my bed. This may be a rumor or there might be special conditions.

Yes, that is possible because it happened to me. It is some sort of glitch in the game. But it does not happen because of getting the golden shovel. First, you need to get resseti to come to yell at you 20 times. But, I'm warning you, don't try it unless you want to risk him reseting your town. Then, go to every rock in town and hit them with a golden shovel and golden axe.(i'd say hit tham about 20 times each with both)Then, if one of the rocks crack, keep hitting and an entrance will appear. Go inside of it and you will see resetti. He will keep yelling at you, then after a bit, he will ask you to make a deal with him. Say YES. Then he will say that if you never bother him again he willl give you someone else to annoy. Then, leave his house and go outsie, save the game and then hit "continue" to play. When you wake up and jump out of bed resetti will tunnel out from the floor under your bed and give you the dog and leave. Also the dog is great to have around, he has a bed though to, so he kind of counts as a resident. But you can play as yourself and the dog at the same time. He will bring you the mail each day and you can walk around town with him. He also is loved by the townsfolk. P.S. He's somewhat like k.k.
