If you have a Torchic on your team two moves you absolutely must link are Focus Energy + any fire type move you want (Flamethrower would be a good move).

Focus Energy because the next hit you make will be a critical hit (but not if the Pokemon your hitting has a move or an ability to prevent it) and the fire type move because it matches Torchic's type
