Shigeru, you are incredible.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the starting point for most 3D Adventure/rpg games. Released in 1998. It was WAY ahead of it's time in graphics, and size. If you look at most 3D games today, you can immediately notice elements from Zelda which are still used today.
The main story line has over 50 hours of play and 83 dungeons to explore, not to mention the collectibles/side quests along the way. The game is constructed around fighting and puzzle-solving, using a point and lock aiming combat system. These two themes surprisingly work very well together. The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered to be one of the best games of all time, as seen by it's numerous awards and even a mention in the Guinness book of records.
You play as a Kokiri boy named Link with the fairy as a companion, Navi. The land of Hyrule has been poisoned by the means of Ganon, the desert thief king. Like most games in this series, Link must fight his way through numerous dungeons over Hyrule to reach his ultimate goal, to save Princess Zelda.
This game is one of my top ten favourite games to play, even today, whether it's to remind me of my childhood, or just for some good old exploring fun. Ocarina of Time get's a 10 in my book, all day and any day.
