Introduction

Kingdom Hearts...one of the few games that Disney has released in collaboration with Square Enix. Was this game a hit, or a fail like so many other Disney games? We will delve further into this issue in this review of Kingdom Hearts. We will also review several key points-Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, and Lastability-in this review.

Graphics

These graphics were amazing! I had a extremely good time just looking at this game! From the cobblestones of Traverse Town, from the trees of the Jungle, all looked realistic. Everything was so detailed, looked so real, I was shocked. They were (and are) some of the best graphics I have ever seen grace the Playstation 2 system. Overall, I give the graphics a nine out of ten.

Sound

The sound was very realistic. When you hit the enemy, they grunted. When you or your companions took a hit, they cried out. The small things sounded good too; your footsteps, the swords clashing, the magic. The space battles sounded good, the explosions and lasers firing sounded realistic.

I have to give this game's sound a nine out of ten because sound really sucks the player in, and this game's music just pulls you in.

Gameplay

This. Games. Gameplay. Was. AWESOME! I enjoyed every second of this game. The bosses got steadily harder, and each one was challenging in it's on special way.

You could not customize your character's look, nor your companions, but you could customize almost everything else, from they way they fought, from their weapons, abilities, perks, and items.

Your spaceship, though, you could customize endlessly. There were many ship parts hidden throughout the game, and when you found them, you could use them to make your ship more powerful, add armor, add shields, change the design, and even change where you wanted everything. You could have guns on the top of the ship, and have the cockpit on the bottom, whatever you wanted.

There is almost a endless amount of weapons to choose from for yourself and more companion, and a weapon for each play style, so their truly is a weapon for everyone.

This game really had a really addictive story, that had sad parts, happy parts, and just flat out epic parts.

For epicness, I give Kingdom Hearts' gamplay a outstanding 10 out of ten. It really shocked me, I loved it.

Lastability

This game will compete with it's sequel, Kingdom Hearts II, for the longest lasting of the series. It will last a good while, as I still play it avidly today. Kingdom Hearts is a masterpeice, and will live a long, fruitful life over several generations. Overall, a eight out of ten.

Overall

Overall, this game shocked me. It was one of the best I have ever played. It was difficulty, challenging, and will keep you captivated for weeks on end playing it through thoroughly. It is one of my favorite games I have ever played...truly, it is one of the best RPG games on the market. I am going to reccomend this game to anyone I see. Overall, I give this game a outstanding nine out of ten!
