Carrots are not in this game yet mabey when the computer version launches
I am sorry but you cannot get Animals to follow you on the pocket addition. Hopefully mojang will release it soon in an update.
Yea I have tried wheat apples nothing so yea
Well what I do is I go to the Animals, build a fence then I put blocks around the fence and wait in the pen (make sure you can get out!)
Sure enough the Animals will get interested and walk in, they can get in but not out. Sheep will need a bit of a push.
I have tried wheat on pigs but it doesn't work they look at you but don't follow.
I'm stuck to. Many people say zombies drop them accasionly? Who knows
I tried to get a cow to follow w/ wheat and it as walking towards me so I though I did it but then it just went in another direction and it didn't work so that proves that you can't get them to follow you with wheat or anything else but you can push them, which is kinda wrong.
You can use seeds to get chickens to follow you.(It worked for me)
U can't I tried but they just go in the opposite direction on the Xbox and PC they follow with wheat and seeds
I know a way to herd Animals in Pocket Edition...
Although you can't use plants to make them follow you on the mobile version, for some reason I have found out that the Animals are like moths and somehow are kind of drawn to light. I found this out whenever I tried to make a farm myself and whenever night came they would herd over to the side closest to my house ( which is made of burning netherrack on the outside ) until day, and whenever they got out of the pen they would run straight to my netherrack house and despite my efforts burn to death...
So here is how:
1) Go to a place where a lot of Animals are
2) set about 4 to 9 torches ( or another light source ) clumped together in an area
3) wait until nightfall then the Animals should get close to it and build the fence at night using the set light source to guide you
All I can suggest (for chickens) is making you're enclosure then chucking the eggs in randomly and hoping for the best!
To get a chicken to follow you use melon seeds if you have any
The zombies drop carrots when you kill them
On pocket edition (v 8.0.0) if you get some wheat and hold your finger on a cow or sheep (it doesn't work on pigs and chickens), hearts will appear around the animal and they will follow you around. Also, if you have two adult cows or sheep in the same pen, and have held the wheat on both of them, they will mate and a baby animal will appear. Hope this helps!!
Pigs will follow you while you are holding carrots. Carrots are dropped occaisonally when you kill zombies.
Cows will follow you while you are holding wheat. You can grow wheat from seeds. You can get seeds from plowing the ground with a hoe and sometimes some seeds will pop out.
Sheep will follow you while you are holding wheat also.
Chickens will follow you while you are holding the wheat seeds.
You can breed the Animals by feeding them - tapping and holding an animal while equipting their food. Some hearts will appear around them. If you do this to two animals of the same species, they will make a baby animal. You do not need to feed the animals to follow you. Also, you must be actually holding their food, it cannot just be in one of the available slots. If you don't know whether you are holding their food, go into settings and change the view so you can see your person and what they are holding. Hope this helps
Cows and sheep will follow you if you are holding:
-Wheat
Chickens will follow you if you are holding:
-wheat seeds
-melon seed
Pigs will follow you if you are holding:
-Potatoes
-Carrots
-Beetroots
How to obtain wheat:
1. use a hoe on a dirt block that has grass on it to obtain wheat seeds, which can also be used to attract chickens. [there is a 20% chance you will get a seed each time you do this]
2. Plant the seed on tilled ground. [The process will go faster if you till the land near a water source.]
3. Wait until the wheat is finished growing. It may take multiple days. [It will go faster if you use bone meal. ]
4. when it is a brown/green color , it is ready to be harvested.
How to obtain Beetroots
1. Repeat steps 1-3 of the wheat procedure.
2. When the red beetroot color shows at the bottom of the plant, it is ready to harvest.
How to obtain potatoes and carrots:
1. Kill zombies. There is a 10% chance that a zombie will drop a potato/carrot. You can also plant potatoes and carrots in tilled dirt. Bone meal can be used, and the process goes faster if the dirt is wet. To get the dirt wet, till the dirt by a water source.
2. When the potatoes are finished growing, they will be brown at the bottom.
3. When the carrots are done growing, they will be orange on the bottom.
I hope that I helped!
If you use wheat on a cow or sheep and hold it over the animal like you would to breed it, hearts will appear and providing you don't do the same to another animal, the cow or sheep seems to take a great interest in you and will follow you everywhere
You can use wheat to get cows and sheep and for pigs you need carrots or potatoes
And for chickens you will need melon seeds it worked for me
Get seeds for chickens, Wheat for cows, mooshrooms, and sheep, golden apple/golden carrot for horses and mules, any kind of meat except fish (including rotten flesh) for wolves, raw fish for cats, and carrots for pigs. Then they follow you if your holding what they like. Hope this helped!
Also to get carrots keep breaking grass and you should get stuff every while and sometimes carrots come that's what I do it works.

SHEEPS AND COWS WILL FOLLOW YOU WITH WHEAT.
THEN PIGS FOLLOW YOU WITH A CARROT.
YOU NEED TO HOLD IT IN YOUR HAND.
In minecraft Pocket Edition, you can use wheat to guide cows, pigs and sheep; but I am not sure about chickens. The way I get chickens to follow me is by digging a 2 by 2 hole and filling it with water. I know chickens happen to love water, so this is a clever scheme. Once the chicken is in the water, build a fence around the water hole and surrounding grass land, leaving a space to put a gateway so you can get out. Hope this helped
Use carrots or potatoes to get a pig follow you and use wheat for cows and sheep. To get carrots an potatoes, kill a zombie. You might get a carrot, a potato, a feather, or nothing. So kill a lot. And for chicken, use melon seeds.
You get Carrots rarely from killing Zombies. Also by planting them.
There is a way for you to get Animals to fallow u. The newest update 0.9.5 look up seeds with villages and you can get potatoes carrets and other cool stuff. I got 2 emeralds in one seed black smith in a village.
