How can I get string on minecraft PE when no mobs are spawning any where..

To get string you cannot be on peaceful mode. In other words you have to have Monsters. If you kill the giant spider, it will leave behind string.

First go to opions. Then scroll down. Click peaceful mode off. (If you have peaceful mode on)- now you have to have to kill a spider to get string

To get gun powder-Kill a creeper (to kill a creeper is hit them with something then back away then keep doing it untill they die. But sometimes you'll get some just kill the creeper)

To get string- Kill a Spider (if you use a sword to kill a spider they will die after 2 hits with a sword)

You can mine a room then leave it dark so Mobs will spawn in then make a platform only you can get to that is two up so you can hit the mobs but they can't hit you unless you are to close to the edge then they can get you mainly creepers.

To find string:
Turn peaceful mode off
Make sure it's night or a in a dark room
Get a sword
Hit a giant spider 2 times
You have string

You can get string by killing a spider it normally drops 2 pieces of string for me

Just pause the game, go to options and turn difficulty to hard.

Ok.you are on peaceful but yes it doesn't say so. You need to go to options and you will find a bar that says Difficulty and their
Will be a bar right beside it. Then their will be a little rectangle on the bar you slide that little rectangle on the bar depending what you want your difficulty peaceful ( no Mobs ) ( and that's at the very begging on the bar ) normal ( normal and mobs will spawn ) ( half way on the bar ) HARD ( lots of mobs will spawn and they spawn EVERYWHERE even your house ) ( and that's at the very end of the bar ) now you should set it on Normal and at night time you go outside with a sword and find a spider they have a black body and red eyes, kill it and you will get 0-3 pieces of string and with string you can make wool ( 4 pieces of string ) and a bow ( sticks and 2 or 3 pieces of string I forget ) '-'

Break cobwebs with shears. They drop one string per cobweb.
