You can grow a surplus of crops and then sell them for cheap so people buy them. If you sell them expensive nobody is going to want to buy it. Also keep all your factories in use and whatever you don't need sell

Do not sell to visitors or any orders. Only make the highest priced products going in therfactories, buy many shop slots, and sell them all for max, even special items

For easy money I just save up bolts and screws and then sell big chunks at a time.

Grow your fields full of wheat because it is quick and this is a way that you can get tools and a lot of xp and make bread of the wheat and sell it by 10's at full price, this tends to have much more value than plain wheat and you can get closer to upgrading a star on baking oven.
