Building Tips
Remember to use ALT to place objects without the grid.
Hold CTRL F to allow diagonal tiles to be placed.
Use the 'Create a Diagonal Room Tool' to craft more interesting house designs.
Hold SHIFT to place the floor over an entire room.
Create a floor and put objects in before putting in walls. This ensures you don't waste space if you're on a tight budget.
Use the Day/Night Toggle to allow you to see how your new items or house looks at night.
Various cheats are available to help with building houses and object placement. Check them out in the Cheats section for Sims 3.

Remember to use ALT to place objects without the grid. >>>> This works for buy objects only. Hold alt while moving objects with cursor!
Hold CTRL F to allow diagonal tiles to be placed. >>>> Don't hold it just hit ctrl then f and triangles of the tile will appear, to reverse you just hit the same buttons.
Use the 'Create a Diagonal Room Tool' to craft more interesting house designs. >>>> same place where you build walls. Look in that tab when you click to build walls!

One cheat code that really helps with building is "moveobjects on" without the quotes.
To alter apartment buildings, use the cheats "RestrictBuildBuyInBuildings off" and "Buydebug" without the quotes. Delete the hidden room markers (little black round things) on surrounding floors to expand your living area. You can use a maximum of 3 floors (most of the time).

hello guys i built this really cool house but it wont let me build a wall across the swiming pool and to the house (they are both on the same lot!) but it wont let me it just says 'NO SUPPORT' why is this happining plz tell me thanx xx
