Introduction
There is no shortage of WW2 games on the market. Developer Infinity Ward has contributed to the number with the first two titles in its much acclaimed tactical shooter series Call of Duty. After temporarily handing over the reigns to fellow California-based developer Treyarch for the making of Call of Duty 3, Infinity Ward returns with the next installment in the series: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The Call of Duty series takes a step into the future with modern weapons and technology not available during the WW2 era.
In Call of Duty 4, step into the boots of one Soap MacTavish, a wet behind the ears SAS recruit. Keeping with the Call of Duty tradition of multiple playable characters, you�ll also play as Paul Jackson, member of the USMC. Call of Duty 4 takes place in Russia, where the 22nd SAS Regiment is tracking down the Russian ultranationalist Imran Zakhaev. In the Middle East, the USMC 1st Force Recon hunts down Zakhaev�s ally, Khaled Al-Asad.
This guide contains a complete walkthrough for the single-player campaign. From start to finish, it�s all here. You�ll be able to navigate the mean streets of the Middle East and Russia with ease, and thwart the Four Horsemen at every turn. Not only that, every single enemy intel item is also pointed out along the way.
Notes: This guide was written entirely based on the REGULAR difficulty level. There are noticeable differences between Regular and higher difficulty levels, so some of the strategies within will not apply to a playthrough on a higher difficulty level. Intel locations remain the same for each difficulty, however.
This FAQ/Walkthrough was written for Call Duty 4 on the Xbox 360 console. Even though it was written for the 360 version, it can still be used in conjunction with the PC or PS3 version of Call of Duty 4. The only real difference between the 360, PC and PS3 version of the game is the control scheme. If you are using this guide and playing the PC or PS3 version, just ignore all references to the Xbox 360 control scheme and achievement tips in the main walkthrough.
