Nintendo did a good thing in re-releasing a big hit, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This Nintendo 64 classic is as exciting now as it was then, especially with the addition of a new mode: the Master Quest, never released outside of Japan prior to the bonus disc's re-release. Now, I give this game a 9/10. I'll break it down:
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics have been cleaned up a little, but the score for a Gamecube disc is good considering these graphics are those of Nintendo 64.
Sound: 9/10
The sound has been perfectly redone for the Gamecube. It sounds very much like it did back in 1998. And the music on the screen where you select your quest is an awesome Zelda remix.
Story: 10/10
Even after five years, the story is still exciting. It even helps that Link is going through some challenges to get his goal achieved. This made OOT a classic on N64, and hasn't died down.
Master Quest: 10/10
The dungeons are remixed and harder than before. I mean, who wouldn't be surprised to find Keese in the Deku Tree or cows inside Jabu-Jabu? MQ is perfect!
If you didn't get the disc because you didn't reserve it (or get a Nintendo Power bundle), I would definitely recommend that you borrow a copy and play it. You won't regret it. If you got the bonus disc, you got a good offer.
