Game Reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Master Quest

Quick Reviews

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the game that started me on the Zelda seires. I got it for the N64 and what a blast. The technology was out of date for the time so I sold my N64 and all the games. I had gotten a gamecube and once I heard Ocarina of Time was back out I was all over it.

Storyline: One of the best storylines that I have ever played. A long time ago three goddesses created the world and put an all powerful creation on it. They called it the Triforce. Going into the world to stop the evil of the future. What a story. 10/10

Sound: This game has the best songs that I have ever heard. Even though some of teh sounds are quite anoying it is worth leaving the sound of so that you are able to here the music. 10/10

Gameplay: Once again I have to say this game has some of the best gameplay that I ever seen. The camara follows you from behind and you are able to see in the first person. The ablilty to use multiple weapons is awsome. And the sword and shield combo is off the hook. 10/10

Graphics: When Ocerina of time first came out the graphics were top of the line, but now that the gamecube and all this new stuff is out the graphics are not really that good. 6.5/10

Lastability: Since this game is so long it will last you a while. I personaly like playing it over and over again. With Master Quest on it it will last you even longer. With this game it is all about your opion. 10/10

Overall: This is the game that turned me on to videogames. For me this game disserves a spot in the hall of fame for the rest of enturnity. This is the game that has it all. Swordplay, shooting bows and arrows, riding horses, etc. The fact that you are able to use so many different types of weapons only makes the game so much better. The original verson was so good and the Master Quest edition made this game so much better. All the same deugons but each one has had one monsters and obtecles to get around. If you love role playing games this is the game for you. 10/10

I thought it was a great idea to re-make this game for Gamecube because many gamers might not have played this astounding game before. Probably one of the best games I have ever played in my life, and I\'ve played a lot of games. I would definately advise you to get it along with the Wind Waker because this ame is even better than the Wind Waker. This is an awesome game no doubt. I would score it 96%. Well done Nintendo.

Great Game!Added 9 Aug 2004, ID #2336
This game has all the things just like the version on N64. The only thing I hate about this game is the creators did not improve the graphics on GCN version. 8/10

CoolAdded 18 Apr 2004, ID #1848
I have this game on the Nintendo 64 and I must have played this many many times and I still enjoy it, its really cool the graphics are alright. The sounds really good easily 10/10 for the sound and the gameplay is simple and fun with puzzles that will knock your head off.

Altogether I'd give this game 90% out of 100%. Very very good game nearly a Nintendo classic.

Things that have changed on Master quest.Added 6 Feb 2004, ID #1496
Lots have changed, for example: The enemies have changed their spotts, the levels(temples/caves) is complitely diffrent (you have to do somthing else this time enter rooms).
But the game speed is faster on the booth games.

P.S. If you did not nottice, you can acctually see
diffrent game trailers if you press the Z button.

Nintendo did a good thing in re-releasing a big hit, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This Nintendo 64 classic is as exciting now as it was then, especially with the addition of a new mode: the Master Quest, never released outside of Japan prior to the bonus disc's re-release. Now, I give this game a 9/10. I'll break it down:

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics have been cleaned up a little, but the score for a Gamecube disc is good considering these graphics are those of Nintendo 64.

Sound: 9/10

The sound has been perfectly redone for the Gamecube. It sounds very much like it did back in 1998. And the music on the screen where you select your quest is an awesome Zelda remix.

Story: 10/10

Even after five years, the story is still exciting. It even helps that Link is going through some challenges to get his goal achieved. This made OOT a classic on N64, and hasn't died down.

Master Quest: 10/10

The dungeons are remixed and harder than before. I mean, who wouldn't be surprised to find Keese in the Deku Tree or cows inside Jabu-Jabu? MQ is perfect!

If you didn't get the disc because you didn't reserve it (or get a Nintendo Power bundle), I would definitely recommend that you borrow a copy and play it. You won't regret it. If you got the bonus disc, you got a good offer.
