If you collect every shiny object you see and break Tiki crates you should not have any problem getting the amount Mr Krabs requires. The amount Mr Krabs demands will increase with each spatula.

The final part of the game is called The Reef and it is where you can view some making-of pictures. In order to unlock this feature you will need to spend over 40,000 shiny objects.
One of the best places to farm shiny objects is the Sand Mountain area. Go to the ski lodge with a number 1 on the door so you are taken to Guppy Mound. There you will find plenty of Tikis to break with Mrs Puff. Make sure the cardboard box is open, then head down the slide and break as many Tikis on your way down as you can, including the Thunder Tikis. Although Thunder Tikis will damage you, they contain more shiny objects than regular Tiki crates and they will blow up any nearby crates you might otherwise miss. You can avoid taking a lot of damage from Thunder Tikis by hitting the big button on an upper left path near the beginning of the slide which will bring down a big ball that will smash through a lot of Thunder Tikis for you. If you want to get all the golden spatulas in the game you will need to give Mr Krab 108,000 shiny objects in total during the course of the game.
At the map in the 'Pause' menu you will be able to reduce the amount of time you spend running around by using fast travel. To get to a particular spot on a level you simply have to highlight the nearest golden spatula and you will fast travel there. Using fast travel does not cost anything.
Early on in the Mermalair stage you will encounter this puzzle which you will need to play as Patrick to solve. After talking to Barnacle Boy, head to the right to go to the center of several towers. There you will find a Throw Fruit and a button on each tower. If you throw a Throw Fruit at one of the buttons, that tower will turn around, but the towers either side of it will also turn. Your objective is to find a way to make all the power towers face inwards. The way to do this is to stand in the middle of the buttons, and choose one to be your first button. From this switch, count three to either the left or the right, then hit that button. Then, count three again in the same direction, and hit that button. Keep repeating this process. You can always track your progress in the game by going to the 'Pause' menu. There you will be able to see your current location on a map that will have the different areas in the game. Highlighting an area will allow you to see useful informaton about it such as which golden spatualas you have earned or how many of Patrick's socks you have found there.
