It depends which guy you battle,if you battle the guy with the croconaw before then you will battle him again I think at the new coliseum that the construction works are working on.

Thats the same answer I was trying to look for but I don't know at all.i think you have to look for him in all the citys or just forget about him and go on.
He is in the new colosseum when you unlock the door with the pokeballs neat it go to the door on left and talk to the counter guy
