To get the spider ball you have to have the ice beam.
NEXT go to a rock boss.You have to be on a mission where you get the heat mask.Once you get it then there should be a ice door go through then keep going a while it might take a while for you to get through the level.If you do then go to the boss.
CAUTION:must have gravity suit
