If you're playing an Ages linked game you will get the flute of the animal partner you chose in Oracle of Seasons. Just go through the game normally without getting a flute. Level 8 Ancient Tomb is in the same place as in the non-linked game. You get the Tokay Jewel from the Pirates in the present. Once you receive the Zora Scale from the Zora go to where the Sea of Storms in the past would be and show the Zora the Zora Scale and you will gain passage to the Sea of Storms in the present. Surface and find the pirates enter their ship and trade the Scale for the Tokay Jewel. Then warp to the past put the Tokay Jewel in the Fish Head and proceed through the Cave normally. Once you pass the cave you will be in water, surface and push the Statue to the left and enter the maze. Find your way to the Dungeon and proceed through the Dungeon normally.

On the west side of Symmerty Village go one screen down then keep going left and the play the tune of currents on the bottom left corner of the screen. Go wherever you can to find a time portal and play the tune of echoes to open the time portal and go to the past. Go into the cave and get to the end and you will find a red stone. Push it to the left then go back to the other side of the cave.

If you want a bomb upgrade then continue at step#1. If you do not want it then skip the step#2.

1. Warp to the present and climb the vine. Things aren't flooded anymore. Throw a bomb into the water and walk up between the to knights. A fairy will apear and ask what kind of bomb you threw into the water. Answer "a normal one"

2. In the past, push the vine sprout to the other cliff. Go to the present and climb the vine. Swim across the flood and get to the end to find a time portal and warp to the past. Go to the flood and swim across the GO DOWN THE STAIRS. Continue on and you will find Patch

It does not matter if you only have 3 essences, when you have all 8 you will get the maku seed. Then the three doors become 1...
