Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I have a golden Magikarp and it evolved into a red Gyarados so if I breed the Red Gyarados with a plain Gyarados will I get a golden Magikarp?

I'm sorry but that occurs very rarely.

These pokemon are called shiny pokemon. They appear very rarely and you are extremly lucky to have found one.Sadly........you get a regular Gyarados if you breed it.The chance doesn't even increase to get one.You are extremly luck to have got one though.
You should be pleased with what you got so don't complain!

I am getting close to evolving my magikarp (finally) and I got a shinny magikarp. Should I evolve the shiny one or keep it and evolve the regular one?
