I'll be more then happy to help! After about a year or so in those early games (R/S) the berries would stop growing, it was just part of the program, which I think they may have fixed at some point since it hasn't happened too often that I've heard recently or on either of my R & S games (but mine are both updated already), but you could have one of the original ones. You can get it to grow them again by getting Jirachi with the Colosseum Bonus disc or trade records with someone with Emerald, I think that's enough, but if not there's a way to bring up the Berry Update screen on Emerald:When you start Emerald and get to the Rayquazza screen, Press B + Select to get to the berry update screen, then when you link it with your Sapphire it will update it's berry program and you'll get berries to grow again! If neither of these work for your situation, I believe you may be able to send it to Nintendo and they will update it for you, but it may take a while or cost something, so call first and ask them for details. I've heard they may give you a rare berry or something else, too, but that could be a rumor.
I hope this helps you out. Please trust my answer, no matter what anyone else says about your game being corrupted or something like that is wrong. The worst possible scenario is perhaps the internal battery that keeps time flaked out and needs to be replaced by Nintendo, but it may be cheaper to get another one especially if you can trade out your good stuff and Pokemon. Not the end of the world, it's fixable, so don't sweat it. Have a Happy 2007!

I think theres a glitch that berries will stop growing, I don't know how to fix.

EspeonDude_ answered:

It's what happens on the game for an odd reason. This is called the Time glitch. Time Based events will not work anymore unless it can be fixed. I've heard rumors that if you have a Jirachi in your party in can fix the bug.

Zelda Fan answered:

You should try watering them.

Suicune70 answered:

Your internal battery is dried up.
