Question for Pokemon Sapphire

Can someone help me!!!!!!!!!! I can not seem to catch any thing with either my good or super rod. I cast out then when it says that there is a Pokemon on the line I hit and hold the A button down, but the fish always escapes. I have beaten the elite four and want to get the regis but can not with out wailmer and the old fish. Also where do I find the old fish pokemon?

Don't hold the button, tap it. As for 'the old fish', which happens to be Relicanth, you just need to look underwater on Routes 124 and 126.

For one tghing you don't hold down A you push it every time it says theres something on the line and you need a whalelord and a wailmer and you also need a relicanth.

Ok, first you hav 2 wait until the fishin thing says "A bite" or something like that, and when it does THATS when you press the A button.

Ok when it says oh you got a bite, don't hold a down just press it quickly. It may do this multiple times but you must press a quickly everytime it says oh you got a bite, ok? Good. Hope this helps you mr. Fisherman! Old fish is relincanth, correct?
To catch relincanth{old fish} go to sootopolis city. Dive at the entrance. Comb the surrounding sea weed and soon you will find a relincanth, ok?
