Question for Pokemon Sapphire

OK, my internal battery in Sapphire has gone dry but when I try to update it with the berry program on my Emerald, it says theres an error. The same happens when I try it with my Leafgreen and Firered. Plz tell me what I'm doing wrong.

If the game states that the battery has run dry, linking it with a game so as to update the Berry programme won't do it; it only works if chronological events stopped after the defect that occurs after a year of ownership.

Well, we can't tell what youre doing wrong, since you don't tell us what you do.

You can not update it using other games
