Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I beat the elite four in Pokemon sapphire and in firered and i've also returned the ruby and sapphir to celio but it still wont let me trade with sapphire? Have I missed anything?

Did you try using Celio's Machine?,you got to use that to trade.

Ok let me break this down to you I'm sure I kno wut you're doing wrong and I havent played the game in a while so it might be a bit rusty.--------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok first after you beat the elite four do you remember the ice trainer I think it's lourie or something aroud that so after you beat it beat it a second time till the guy I think named Bruno has a steelex and if he does once you beat the elite 4 go to four island and go to the cave and go to the very end of the cave and you will have to save her from I think team rocket(not for sure it might be team aqua or magma been a while) but once you do that you need to get the saphire and the ruby to celio and then you can trade to leaf green and fire red. Hope I helped
