Okay I guess I sounded like a moron cause I didn't mention that I am trading from sapphire to ruby, and that we use a link, and it just keeps saying press b to cancel. So what are we doing wrong? We even tried putting one of the games into the gamecube and plugging in one of the GBA's into the gamecube but it still said the same thing.??

Are you sure the link cable is valid? By this I mean, is it compatible with the GBA, and are you trading at the right place?
Make sure you are in the same Citys Pokemon centre.
