In mosdeep city there is that little house near the middle of the island. An old man lives there. And then theres that door. How do you unlock that door?!!! I've been wondering ever since I saw it.

I'll assume that you've activated Mystery Events. Connect your game to another Game Boy Advance with the E-Reader installed, and enter Mystery Events mode. Swipe the Battle Card through the E-Reader and continue your game, then return to the house. The old man will be standing in front of it, and you will be asked to challenge the Trainer on your Battle Card behind the door.
If you mean the door behind the trees, you can't get behind them.
