Need help! I was trying to trade with my cousin with my saphire and his fire red but it won't work. It will just say transmission error! But we can battle.. What seems to be the problem? Pls need info..

Your friend needs to get the Ruby and Sapphire before you can trade.

More specifically, he needs to have all badges and go to the islands and there he will get the ruby and saphire.
You can trade/battle with another Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Fire Red /Leaf Green(even Collosuem/XD with the right connector cable), so I dunno what the problem is! Has he beat the E4 and completed fixing the machine for Celio on the Islands? It requires him locating the Ruby and Sapphire stones in his game and giving them to the guy(Celio) in the Pokemon Center on Island 1. If not, then that could be why you cannot trade yet...if he needs help on how to, post a question in the FireRed column or check out a walk-through in that section.
