Theres about 5 moon stones

Use the move that has the most stars, the one that has more stars will give you more points.

Hope I help

Dude there is limitless amounts of moon stones. The only way for this is to keep catching lunatones found in meteor falls near route 114. For saphire anyways.

BBG_CREECAT answered:

As far as Moon Stones in Sapphire, there's only one in Meteor Falls officially, BUT, if you use a move like Covet, Thief, or Trick and battle Lunatones in Meteor Falls, you will be able to keep getting them since Wild Lunatones sometimes hold Moon Stones!!

Not all of them, but some do, and if you keep battling them and using one of the above moves at least one time(that's all it needs to work, then you can run if you want to if you get nothing), you'll have the opportuntity to get more than just the one in the pokeball you find in Meteor Falls!! Cool, huh?

Oh, look in the screen that tells you the contest move ratings and it will tell you what catagory each move is considered and how many white hearts(good for you)/black hearts(bad for opponents) each move has, and other effects, too. Obviously, the more the better!

Grass moves, Psychic moves, Ghost moves, Poison moves, and some Normal and Dark moves are usually the ones considered "smart"-the better the move, the more hearts, usually, but not always!

(EX:Poison Fang, Gas, Powder & Tail-3 white hearts and all make the Pokemon that appeal after you nervous) Perhaps one of the walk-through sections in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald has a list or chart that tells you what each move is worth and the catagory it's in-check it out-or look it up in a guide book if you can get access to one.

It's alot to type out just to answer a question, though, so those are your best bets for answers! You need to win the master contest with 5 or more stars to get painted, I'm pretty sure.

Good luck!

Unlimited and at the last round use explosion(it freakin good and you can't use any more moves untill the end but it's already the end!)
