Just keep attemting it. He's a tricky one. Try an bring, oh, 50 or so Ultra Balls, then try an' get him paralyzed an' it may be easier.

You could try paralyzing or making by Rayquaza fall asleep.

Make the battle last a long while. Then use a Timer Ball.

Get it down to 1hp and try parlyzeding it.

Ok here's what you need. 1) A Pokemon that can learn False Swipe. It's a move that always leaves the opponent with at least 1 hp. Should have speed higher than Rayquaza and have decent-high defense, Special Defense, and HP
2) A Pokemon than knows a move that can put Rayquaza to sleep. Preferably the same Pokemon mentioned above, if not, the same stats.
3)Tons and tons and tons and tons of ultra balls, timer balls, healing potions and time on your hands.

Save right before facing Rayquaza, then go in, bring that sucker down to 1 HP and put 'em to sleep. When it wakes up, put it back to sleep. Keep it from knocking our your sleeper/False Swiper Pokemon, because it likes to use rest and bring it's health back up. When you get it low and pushin' up Z's, use most of your Ultra Balls, then Timer Balls, then the rest of your Ultras. Once it's HP is low, KEEP IT FROM USING OUTRAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it does it will probably confuse itself, hurt itself, and knock itself out and you can't do anything about it because you can't put it to sleep while it's confused. If it does get knocked out, shut off your system, turn it back on, and take another crack at it. I advise you to level up your Pokemon more, to level, say 80 before trying to tangle with Rayquaza.

P.S. I could bring you down and wipe the floor with your pokemon.

OK you might need to get your Pokemon to the same levels as Ray, but apart from that just buy some timer balls. Get Ray asleep the down in the red zone but make sure the battle lasts for ages. Then just use timer balls untill you can catch him.

Well,i had the same problem, get 30 ultraballs, and 20 timer ball just in case, then keep throwing the balls while holding up and B, then whate untill it flys, when it's in the sky throw ultraballs untill it gets caut, I caut it in the air!

I caught my Rayquaza with a simple pokeball. I used Blaziken and Kyogre to do the damage, then a Relicanth to put it to sleep. NOTE: It will take a lot of patience. It took me more than an hour of accidentally killing him and starting the battle over before I finally caught the blasted thing! If this doesn't help, I apologize.

(try to put it to sleep, It's easier to throw balls at.)

The best way to make him easier to be caught is to low his HP and to put him to sleep, then use ultra balls, I caught mine with a pokeball in the first try! Because I play the game in emulator, ha ha ha.

Level them up to 70-80 .Bring at least 30 ultra balls and 15 Hyper potions.When you are facing it save and then battle.DO NOT kill it .If you do it by accident restart your game and try again.


PS:It took me 20 times so be patient. Its worth the trouble.

I found a cheat in which you throw a ball and the Pokemon doesn't get out. Like a masterball.There are 2 good things about the cheat.
1.No AR or GS needed.
2. I tried it and it works! Don't belive me, try it.
All you have to do is press and hold A and B as soon as the ball hits the Pokemon until the ball stops moving. I did it at the Safari Zone and caught all of them.
