What is an E-reader, what does it have to do with Pokemon Sapphire and what does it do with Mystery Events?

An E-reader, I'm not too sure about it, but I think it's this thing you kind of plug the game into and it in to the GBA and it reads codes on certain cards to do things like mini games etc.. Dunno what it's got to do with mystery events.

E-Reader scans cards and you use it somehow in the Altering Cave. It has nothin' to do with Mystery Events.

An E-Reader is a device that that allows you to battle the trainder on the E-Card you received with the game. All yo do it swipe the card through and done.
