Pokemon Leveling

Pokemon Leveling

I used to play Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal all the time and I was good at raising Pokemon. I have been playing Sapphire and leveling Pokemon up to 100 is different. Getting them up to level 50, my Pokemon are all comparable to Pokemon in my previous games, but when I raise them up to level 100, they are nowhere near as strong as Pokemon in my earlier games. Can anyone tell me why they level so differently?

I think this has to do with EVs (Effort Values) becoming separate from Base Stats starting in the Third Generation (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen). I'm guessing the Pokemon you've trained in Pokemon Sapphire didn't receive good EV Training, which has caused them not to be as strong as they could be. The Pokemon you have might also have low IV (Individual Value) Base Stats, causing lower Base Stats.

It could be a number of things that have contributed to your Pokemon not being as stronger as the ones you once had.

Hope this helps!

That might explain it. I don't know why they are the approximately the same at level 50.
