Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I am on the Sky Pillar with Rayquaza I have lots of pokeballs and five ultra balls can I catch it or am I wasting my time?

Your going to need ALOT of ultra balls it's almost impossible to catch it with a pokeball

Yes you can catch it! I caught mine with an Ultra Ball.
Just remembver to put it to sleep or Paralyze it when it has low health.

I caught Rayquaza without weakening him on my fourth ultra ball. It turns out this happens many times. When the battle starts just keep throwing ultra balls. Rayquaza should use Fly, and if it uses Fly early in the battle throw the ball while it's in the air. This has worked for many people.
